We offer an inspiring range of art and craft classes in Leeds, led by professional artists and held in a friendly, welcoming environment at Northlight Arts Centre.
From life drawing and painting to ceramics, jewellery and experimental making, our workshops provide a relaxed, non-judgemental space whether you’re trying something new or returning to a long-lost creative passion.
We are proud to be working with tutors and practising artists from across the UK to bring you a selection of unique and engaging classes. We are incredibly lucky to have such talent and expertise on our doorstep too, with workshops designed and led by Leeds artists based in our own artist studios at Northlight.
What to Expect at our Workshops
Our workshops are designed to support your creative journey from the very beginning. We believe that art should be for everyone, which is why we provide a diverse programme of classes, all suitable for beginners. From life drawing and jewellery classes to pottery and textile based crafts all our classes create an encouraging atmosphere where you can learn at your own pace.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC), dedicated to making the arts accessible for all. The income from ticket sales helps us provide:
Weekly donation-based art and craft groups for adults of all ages and backgrounds
A safe, inclusive creative space where the community can connect, learn, and express themselves
Free and low-cost creative opportunities for people who may be isolated, marginalised, or experiencing hardship
