OUR PARTNERS
Northlight Arts Centre works in partnership with organisations across Leeds to support access to creativity, community wellbeing and cultural activity.
These relationships are part of how we operate day-to-day — helping us reach different communities, develop opportunities and build a sustainable programme.
Working Together
These partnerships help us:
Keep our Pay As You Feel sessions accessible
Support people experiencing isolation or mental health challenges
Provide opportunities for artists and participants
Deliver a varied programme of cultural activity
Contribute to the wider arts and wellbeing landscape in Leeds
Leeds City Council
We are part of the Leeds Warm Spaces network, supported by Leeds City Council.
Alongside providing a welcoming place to spend time, we offer free creative materials each day through our art trolley, encouraging informal, low-cost creative activity for visitors.
Arts & Minds
We work with Arts & Minds throughout the year, creating a pathway for our community to connect into their wider mental health network, and for their members to access opportunities at Northlight.
This includes involvement in exhibitions, markets and workshops.
Each year, we collaborate on World Mental Health Day, presenting an exhibition and event that brings people together through creative work and shared experience.
Jazz Leeds
Royal Voluntary Service
Irish Arts Foundation
We work with JazzLeeds to host live music in the venue every Sunday.
The space provides an accessible and affordable setting for performance, supporting musicians and offering regular live music as part of the centre’s programme
We work with the Royal Voluntary Service to support older people attending our Pay As You Feel art groups.
Their volunteers help create a welcoming and supportive environment, and play an important role in the running of these regular sessions.
We collaborate with the Irish Arts Foundation during Irish History Month each March.
This includes a programme of film screenings, exhibitions, talks and social gatherings, bringing together art, history, food and music from Irish culture.
