Northlight Arts Centre in Chapel Allerton, Leeds offers art classes, workshops, venue hire, craft markets, café and a gallery supporting local artists.
We are a not for profit (CIC) dedicated to providing inclusive access to the arts. We believe art and creativity are powerful tools for building confidence, connection and resilience - both in individuals and across communities.
At Northlight, we offer a wide range of art classes and short courses: from pottery, jewellery, painting and life drawing in Leeds. Our weekly Pay as you Feel groups run alongside a programme of art and craft markets, exhibitions and creative events that bring the community together. We are proud to support artists in all stages of their career development through the North Art Gallery - a space for artists to develop their practice, exhibit work and reach new audiences.
In addition to our creative programme, our bright and adaptable venue with spacious gallery rooms, café, garden and terrace is available to hire for workshops, meetings and private events.
Whether you are taking your first steps in art-making, seeking to develop your practice or looking to engage with a warm and friendly art community, North Light provides a space where everyone is welcome and your creativity can thrive.
