With decades of experience as a professional artist and educator, Boris brings a deep understanding of classical techniques and contemporary approaches. His life drawing classes are designed to develop your skills in anatomy, gesture, line, and form, whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned artist.
Held in our welcoming and supportive gallery environment, each session features an exquisitely lit live model, with Boris offering individual instruction and thoughtful critique.

Join our popular life drawing classes in Leeds, held every Tuesday evening in our light, welcoming studio. These sessions are designed for absolute beginners, confident artists and anyone who simply enjoys drawing from the human form.
Each week offers something different:
a mix of short and long poses
professional life models
opportunity for excellent tuition if needed
calm, focused time to switch off and be creative
Our approach is relaxed and supportive. You can draw at your own pace, with optional guidance available throughout. Many people join us to improve their drawing skills, build a portfolio, or enjoy a weekly creative routine.
All materials included
We provide everything you need: paper, charcoal, graphite, easels and A1 drawing boards. Just arrive and start drawing.
Continue Your Creative Practice
Many artists use life drawing as the foundation for other forms of creative work.
At Northlight Arts Centre you can build on these skills through our wider programme of artist-led painting, ceramics and other creative workshops.

Get the number 2 and 3 bus opposite the Corn Exchange which stops outside of Lidl on Harrogate Road. It is then a 1 minute walk to Northlight Arts Centre on Potternewton Lane.
