What is Life Drawing?
Life drawing is the practice of drawing from a live model, helping you develop observation, proportion and an understanding of the human form.
Working directly from life allows you to slow down, look more closely, and build confidence in your drawing.
Life Drawing in Leeds at Northlight
Our life drawing classes take place at Northlight Arts Centre in Chapel Allerton, Leeds (LS7), serving North Leeds, Meanwood and surrounding areas, just a short distance from the city centre. The studio is a bright, welcoming space with free parking on site and easy access by public transport.

Our approach is relaxed and supportive. You can draw at your own pace, with optional guidance available throughout. Many people join us to improve their drawing skills, build a portfolio, or enjoy a weekly creative routine. During the July workshops we will spend time focussing on drawing hands from a structural, anatomical and gestural approach.
All materials included
We provide everything you need: paper, charcoal, graphite, easels and A1 drawing boards. Just arrive and start drawing.
